I agree that reducing pollution (and garbage) and cleaner energy is the right
thing to do.

Take one more step beyond promote - take action personally.

In general, the masses have been so brainwashed - and it is my opinion the
purpose is a massive wealth transfer to the elite at the expense of our labor.

I also feel part of taking action should include recognizing scams for what
they are, and once a scam is recognized, to expose it.  Some things are not
scams (such as the grocery baggers using 2 plastic bags and only putting 2-3
items inside - that is just stupidity and one just needs to educate the
bagger & management over and over...)

A really good scam MUST include some facts in order to work.

For example.
True:  Groundwater has been contaminated by industrial run-off.  True - Lake
Erie was totally dead.
Brainwash scam - drinking anything but bottled water for you is bad.  Is that
true?
I know one thing for sure, some corporations made a fortune making all those
plastic bottles............. and the companies that manage the landfills are
making more money too.

Here's another one.
True:  Germs can make you sick.
Brainwash scam - you must disinfect toilet bowls.  Not talking about the seat
here, the actual bowl!
I know one thing for sure - some corporations are making and fortune off of
that one...... and the companies that manage the landfills are making more
money too.

You can go on and on with these....which is why I raise the issue about
global warming.

True:  the globe is warmer
Brainwash scam:  is it caused or predominantly caused by man?    Jury is out.
Or is there a Qui Bono issue going on?  If oil reserves are much much lower
than the public is being told (according to some the reason is to prevent
total panic on wall street)........ is there any possibility that global
warming is a story to help get the public to switch away from oil without
disrupting those wall street profits, while they come up with a new area to
generate profits?  Qui Bono?   Jury is still out.

A tax on all this, is just another scam, another angle on taking money away
from workers.

Well said Rob, I agree. We should all do the best we can to not pollute and
promote
cleaner energy etc, because it is the right thing to do, but no matter what
we do,
we cannot alter the bigger global patterns any more than a special tax will
help cut
down on sun spots.

Pollution is bad, no doubt about that.
Global warming is (was)  happening on Mars too.
No matter how much money you put in someone's pocket  it is not going
to change the earth's cycles (the cycles last tens of  thousands of years).

Let's put money into things that don't pollute,  spend the money on
R&D and find cleaner ways of doing what we  do.

Easy to say, hard to do.. Too much money flowing and too much
propaganda shaping opinions.

I thought the point of streetlights was to light the city streets at night?
We don't have them out here, but when I lived in the city, if I had to walk
through unlit streets, I'd have never left my house after dark.
