I was unable to get past about 80% trying to download either lynx.tgz
(SW40) or Kermit (for SW40) using links for BL3 or wget. Every time it
would stop (0 B/sec) at the same place in the file. Lynx was from
ftp.planetmirror.com and SW4.0 Kermit was from the Kermit site.

These were relatively large files, and stalled at about 80% or so.
One of them, on the second or later tries, would then always stall wget at
4096 bytes. I forget which one.

Today I am trying to download another linux file:
www.iamjlamb.com/~keesan/libz.so.1.1.3 (from elflibs.tgz SW4.0,
downloaded to that address via a faster connection, unpacked, the file I
wanted was then moved to my web directory because I don't have kermit for
file transfer yet, or microcom working to dial my bbs and get the same
file from there after ftping it there.)

With lynx (2.6 for SW3.1) it gets to 44.5 of 61K, several times.
Wget stalls at 72%, several times.
Links goes to 0 B/s at 75% of the file, several times.

I could download a short .com file okay, it is apparently just the linux
files causing stalling. I have not had this problem with BL2, ever.

I eventually downloaded lynx and kermit on a Win98 computer (we were
testing a modem in it anyway) and did llpro file transfer. Dont' yet have
either one working. Lynx needs zlib. Kermit may need a later ncurses and
I can't download linux files with BL3.

Someone please confirm. I will leave libz there for a day or two.
(I will try getting it with BL2 next, via kermit file transfer. I can't
get kermit working in Bl3 - it may need a newer ncurses, which I expect I
also cannot download with Bl3, nor can I download an older kermit for
SW3.5).

I thought at first that I had a bad ISP connection but this is too
reproducible. Two days in a row, and no problem in between with other
OSes. Three different sites and files.
