Some purple grape juices - *not* "drink",
read the label, *grape juice* is a good
substitute for Pepsi - I persevered long
enough to lose the soda addiction. And
'soda pop' *is* another contributor to
swollen ankles, along with sodium and
the usual preservatives accompanying
sodium in packaged foods.

Well, if it wasn't for those damn sleeked-down
hoods on vehicles now-a-days, you'd be able to
set that ole Dutch oven on the engine block
and have your dinner cooked when you finished
driving - after checking it at a rest area half-way
to where ever ... now where did I read that ....

Frequently, there are pre-schoolers and moms there looking at the cows and
being taken on a ride behind a tractor. He sells pre-arranged farm tours
and opens up the farm once a year for the public at large.
Lynn
"Diversity" as well as a 'niche' market base -
more power to the man ! He's introducing the
idea of 'work for yourself' *by example* and
proving it can be done. The community is
benefiting and the learning is being wider-
spread also by example - kids are seeing that
their food does not come prepackaged and
'untouched by human hands' - that was a
big *draw* way back when, believe it or not .....

Warren volunteered :
> I think Ramen noodle soup packs are still 5 for a dollar, unless George Bush
has raised the price. Basically bouillon and noodles, it makes a good base
to which you can add meat.
And potatoes - in chunks - and throw out
half the chunks that will have absorbed at
least some of the sodium that makes all
packaged food so tasty. I am serious
about this - you can also counter the
overload of salt-and-preservatives
somewhat if you *faithfully* eat a
banana-a-day. That 'presentation' of
potassium has worked to lessen and
even control the ankle-swelling I am
subject to because one of my 'comfort
foods' is packaged Polish sausage ....

Thanks for *that* tip, Warren, it's been
years since I was in one of those stores ....

I guess his "Jesus" didn't smoke and he
doesn't want to taint the bodies - never mind ...

was cooking their supper on the dashboard of a car and showed me under
