Flax seed can be very beneficial but eaten whole passes right through whole
and you do not gain much if any benefit. The way to gain the most benefits
is to grind it and eat it within 30 minutes of grinding. It begins to lease
some of its benefits almost right away after it is ground. If a person has
one of those little coffee grinders they work like a charm. Toss in a couple
of tablespoons and then put in on what ever you are going to eat. It is good
on almost anything you can think of. Cereal, yogurt, ice-cream, eggs,
veggies, and on and on! And they are cheap....a pound goes a long way.

I eat a lot of flaxseeds, too, but I don't grind them...should I? Would
I not lose some of the oil in the mortar?

If there are 200 people on the list, and each person ran their own
little experiment, what a resource we could be for each other. It would
have to be well-planned, though.
Will take the time though to find out

Yes. Actually, since thinking more about it yesterday, I might even
continue a 500mg dose of turmeric a day. I've been off the high dose
for about a week and I can tell a difference in my sinuses, so I may add
it back and see what happens. DH is going to try it for his elbow. He
is getting OA in his elbow and hopes that will help.
One thing I did not mention before was that the doc thought that the
NSAID(Voltaren) might be the liver culprit instead of the Enbrel. She
suggested that I try to cut back on that. If the turmeric is what has
lowered my CRP and ESR, and I continue to take it long term, then that
would reduce or eliminate the need for the NSAID at a minimum.
It is a bit strange that this is not working out as I thought, or as
completely and quickly as I thought, but I think it is all good change.
At least I feel more in control of what is going on with my body, and
that is good.
Now, if I could lay off the guacamole, I might could lose weight..lol
