most of the ones that didn't snap, popped right back up when the ice melted.
one of mine miraculously lifted right off the power lines feeding the house
without snapping any lines. whew! i was happy for that. at least we can be
out of power without having to worry about it coming on and live wires being
in the path.

I noticed in some of the pictures in the slide show that trees were all of
the way bent over, with their tree tops touching the ground --- and they
were frozen in place like that . I wonder what happens to those trees when
the ice melts. Anyway, looking forward to your pics when you, again, have
