I think that it's easier to open the pod, let the seeds dry with the pulp on them, then break up the clump of seeds and use them pulp and all. If you really want clean seeds, then use the tomato seed method. Pull the pulp and seeds out of the pod, mush up the pulp as practical by rolling them between your hands, then put them in a bucket of water and let the pulp ferment. In a couple of days (depending on the heat and level of fermentation), strain the water out of the seeds, mush the seeds thoroughly to knock off any loose pulp, put them back in water and decant the pulp which should float to the top. You may have to repeat these steps several times until you get a nice set of clean seeds. Dry them carefully for a week or so, then store them until you plant or give them away.

I have a productive, tasty Passiflora incarnata vine. It tastes so good
that I am collecting seeds from the ripe fruit. So far, I have tried to
remove most of the flesh surrounding each seed, then air-dry in a well
ventilated area. It is hard to remove all of the flesh. Will some
fruit adhering to the seed ruin the seed?

Any tips out there for a production seed harvest?
