Dried arils on the seeds will not affect the germination or storage. You can
let the seeds ferment in some water for a few days to loosen the flesh, then
wash them. For smaller amounts of seed, you can spread the fresh seed on a
paper towel. The pulp will stick to the paper, and the seeds can then be
popped out clean by gently squeezing them.
