I want to be sure I understand what you mean by "paid" in reference to CAP?
CAP (a fully volunteer auxiliary to the USAF) only gets minimal reimbursement
for gas and we have donated planes and vehicles from the AirForce. We have
had substantial budget cuts that help cover things like hangar rental and
have to have our own fundraisers to afford extra activities for the cadet
training program. Members pay for membership, some of our training is at a
reduced rate and we pay for much of our own uniforms (sometimes we get a
break on BDU's if we travel to a base).
