I know even better Thai food exists because we have a friend who used
to travel to the area about once a month and bring food that his Thai

you want truly authentic food, make it yourself.

My son lived in Ching Mai for several years and makes good Thai and also knows where the good places to eat are. He speaks Thai and it always startles the waiters when he starts ordering in Thai. He lives in LA and he and his wife have very good jobs, she as procurement in a Hollywood production company and he an a product specialist in an ad agency. With no kids they have the money and time to travel and eat out in all sorts of interesting places.

Ah, yes, it's always a treat to watch the startled waiter when the
white guy orders in Thai. My friend learned Thai over the years, and
now he and his wife have moved to Thailand where they're living large
on his retirment income. I have a standing invitation to come for a
visit, and I hope to but right now I'm having trouble making time to
get to Arkansas.

Gene, when do you return?

Marie
