I keep hoping for one here that does them right. So far I've been
disappointed, but a new restaurant opened and a coworker from New
Mexico who is Hispanic says it's good. I will be checking. So far,
Springfield is doing better with Indian and Thai restaurants.

One problem with living near San Diego is that I have access to many really good Mexican food places. I can think of several but my favorites tend to be the Taco shops. Just a few miles north the number of good places drops, I can only think of two in Temecula and no decent taco shops.

LA on the other hand has too many good places, and Cuban, Guatemalan, Thai, Armenian, and so forth. My son lived in Thailand for several years so is a great guide. I guess I need a good hot Curry Chicken.

I have some pepper seeds I need to grow out. They are known as Donnie Sali or Bonnie Peppers. They are versions of Habeberos that have naturalized to the Marianias Islands. They grow wild all over the place and are they hot. A local sauce made of these peppers, vinegar, and garlic is really good but you do not need or want to use very much. I have a small baby food jar left that I am hoarding but I suspect when my son sees it he will want it. This is the last of a batch made for me on Tinian.

Beautiful pictures, beautiful girls, and as we all told him, good thing he had a beautiful wife! I loved the real and true melting pot of the guests at the Quincinera. I lost most of the recipes when the old computer crashed and so I really loved getting the recipe you posted here. I do have the Roadkill Chili recipe though <g>

Lynda,
Last i heard, they were still on the border somewhere - but i have
lost touch with him. I will look him up on a triker site and see how
they are doing. Those girlies of theirs must be about grown up, like
ours here! I loved the pride of his girl's Quincinera - remember that?!
Toni
