Please don't think I am unhappy with your efforts at making that BL 3.4
image. Its great and the next thing I may try is installing some of the
optional packages into that extra 100 meg of disk space. Is there a
package for Firefox and/or Opera?

Sindi got Opera (7.23) static running, but it apparently didn't work very
well.

It works fine but does not always install. 8.54 did not work on all our computers.

Steven's made a new version of links2 (graphical) available that
seems to run well and handle alot of what the web throws at you. He gave
a link for it awhile back when Sindi asked: take a look over this month's
posts and you'll probably find it. It's _not_ the one at the add-ons
site, btw. That's an older version. But be aware that, to run the newer
one, you'll have to upgrade libraries using directions Steven recently
posted. Those same libraries may even enable you to run Firefox: feel

He posted it at the BL2 add-on site because it requires the Bl2 9or later) glibc. It should work with the libraries needed by Opera.

free to experiment and let us know if it runs. BL3 is still somewhat
lacking in the full-featured-graphical-browser department.
