Not that I think it matters at all any more, but no. it was never put
to rest. The 4 law firms hired to defend him from the requirement to
prove citizenship eventually did turn in a certificate of live birth
from the state of Hawaii. Hawaii issues this to any baby living in the state, or parents living in the state within 1 year of birth. They did not produce a birth certificate and the hospital still refuses to confirm or deny his birth on the island. His grandmother still insists she attended his birth in Kenya. It is really a non issue though, it will never be allowed to actually be debated.

Drew

Exactly Drew, there are also passport anomalies and school records that
suggest that he is not a citizen, but like James and Drew said, it is a
mute point now. During the election, the vetting process was a joke.
Anyone that suggested anything other than Obama's official story was
called a racist or ignored totally. His grandmother was not the only
Kenyan who supposedly attended his birth in Kenya. There were quite a
few people in attendance from the village, including half siblings, and
Kenya even claims that he was born there-he is a Kenyan citizen, for
sure, they list him as an Arab-African, not African American.(He is also
an Indonesian citizen-that came by default when he was adopted)
Furthermore, since you mentioned the hospital, we could always ask his
sister, who first claimed that he was born in Kapiolani Hospital, and
later in another interview, she claimed he was born in Queens hospital.
Why all the different stories about where one man was born? It is
beyond suspicious.
All of this was ignored by the American MSM because Obama's team put a
photocopy of a birth certificate online-a certificate, I might add,
unlike others issued in that year. It seems that even in this day of
million dollar payoffs for hush money and photoshop, people will still
give more credibility to something they see online as to try to piece
together the truth from multiple sources.

It really doesn't matter anymore. The truth will eventually be revealed
to our great grandchildren in 100 years. I happen to believe he was
born in Kenya, but it really doesn't matter at this point. It will
never be debated, like you say. There is a saying we use in my family
that "that's close enough for Government work", and I suppose so. Had
his mother been 19 instead of 18, he would still be an American citizen
even if he was born in Mombasa. Close enough. However, we do have
rules and laws, and in my opinion, the Democratic party made a mockery
of those when they nominated Barack Hussein Obama as President without
looking into his past a bit more than they did.

I don't think we should discriminate based on where someone was born
when it comes to holding public office. I believe there should be more
of a residency requirement of sorts. If Obama was born in Kenya, and
lived his entire life in the US of A, then why should he not be eligible
just based on a few days in his life? It is stupid. If a man must be
35 or 40 or whatever years of age to become President, then I say first
look at his education and childhood to see if he was educated here, then
report all the facts-the truth, and let the public make a decision as to
whether or not that person is a suitable candidate. People can't
control where they were born any more than they can control their skin
color. I'd be pissed if I could not run for office in the US because I
was born and say spent the first week of my life in Finland or Canada.
That's crazy. I understand the intention of the law, but I think it
needs some revision. If Osama Bin Laden's wife gave birth in NYC and
raised the child here until he was say 5, and then sent him off to Saudi
Arabia or Egypt for 'school' and then he comes back to the states, goes
to college here and lives here and in Saudi he would have no trouble
qualifying to run for office as he would be a US Citizen. That would be
a far more crazy thing that Obama being born in Kenya and raised in
Hawaii and Indonesia. It is all just crazy.
Oh and there is another line of argument that states that Obama was a US
citizen, but when he was adopted in Indonesia and became a citizen
there, his US citizenship was relinquished. I'm not sure about the
details of that one as the laws are complex involving minors and such,
just know there is some debate about all that.
Also, Obama has lied about his various names. When asked by the State
of Illinois upon taking his bar exam about other names he has been known
by, he only listed Barack Hussein Obama, and omitted Barry Soetoro,
Barry Obama, Barack Dunham, and Barry Dunham. Why would he lie?
You know what I really think? I don't even think he is the biological
son of Barack Hussein Obama. I think that is why we haven't seen his
medical records released. I think he is the biological son of Frank
Marshall Davis, and if he doesn't know this, he may suspect it. I'd love
to see a DNA on that in a paternity case. IMO, Barack looks like Davis,
and he sure loves to write and journal like Davis...there's a Chicago
connection, and a Hawaii connection. We may find out one day that
Obama was born in Kenya, but I seriously doubt we will ever know if
Davis is his biological father. That would be too weird. If you have
never seen pictures, you should check it out.

I have a great one on my computer. It has obviously been pulled from
the web because I can no longer find it, but it shows Obama and Davis
side by side in almost mirror image poses. The caption at the bottom
says: Luke, I am your father... LOL...

Oh well, enough Obama speculation for now.
I don't care where he was born, just hoping he can close Guantanamo
before 2010 like he promised...it'd be nice to catch OBL and be able to
save some money on healthcare, but that's asking a lot.
