Bev,

Do you remember when you noticed the effect of playing in the dirt? When
did you decide that you were headed back to the land?

Well, I grew up with a garden, but I was more the slave labor for it and I really did not enjoy it. In fact, I swore I would never grow veggies again!
At 29, I found my birthfamily and two of my adoptee friends were really into herb gardening. When I found my family, my sister was also into gardening, and it all just came back full circle. I started with herbs, then back to flowers, and now I have the largest veggie garden of anyone I know. However, in the subdivision, I really did not play in the dirt as much as play with containers...I did enough planting there-trees and the like-to really get a sense of relaxation from the dirt. It was a deciding factor for me to look for property that would support my dirty habit<g>...and once I got here, it is simply rejuvenating.
