Thank you for the instructions on configuring BL 2.1 to talk to the "host" connection.  I will try them.

     

One thing I noticed tonight is there are params that can be entered during the config of CVS QEMU to redirect the TCP and UDP ports of the "host" to the corresponding ports of the "guest".  Now I know that HTTP is on port 80 and Telnet uses port 23, FTP uses ports 20 and 21 (???), which numbers would I reassign to what params?  I would like to use Links and Telnet for sure, FTP maybe.

   

Why I think Damn Small linux and Feather linux uses my ISP connection or the Lan connection at the college is the Knoppix hardware ID and automatic kernel config they have "borrowed".  Knoppix recognises there is a open tcp/ip connection and hooks on to it.  Thanks for your help...
