That's helpful to know. So the tap/tun thing works under Win, too. Sounds like qemu for Win is set up to automatically create the virtual network. In that case, once you've booted the BL2 iso do the following:
1) cd to /sbin and issue ln -s /bin/busybox/ifconfig
2) insmod 8390
3) insmod ne
4) issue dhcp
That should get you online. Works for me with a Linux host system, anyway. But about all you can do is surf with links and such. Can't add any packages, since BL2 ramdisk is not set up for package installation.
