There are several options in the kernel config for
mouses (which I left out to save space).

You click on a link to go to that address.

Middle button to paste.

Yes. As soon as LILO appears on the screen, press ALT
Then enter: hd root=/dev/hda3
(assuming your root filesystem is at /dev/hda3)
