Well, since Digital Rights Management is dreaming and since someone already
mentioned the evil corporations and their profit motives, I think I'll pick
up there.

If the evil Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse and their respective
empires hadn't repressed the brilliant work of one Mr. Tesla, we'd all have
free power without wires right now and we wouldn't have to worry about ice
storms and tree mangling power company right of ways.
