I don't think -- and neither do you, I'm pretty sure -- that he's
going to give us those things. It's one thing to give things away;
quite another to set up the laws to promote broadband access and to
fund projects that will build that kind of infrastructure (not to
mention roads, sewers, bridges, etc, which have all been going
downhill for years). Yes, it will take tax dollars, but if people are
employed working on the projects then they will be paying taxes and
able to buy stuff so other people will also have jobs and pay taxes.

If you've noticed, Obama has been telling parents all through the
campaign that they're the ones who have to oversee their kids'
schooling and make sure the school work gets done before the video
games or the TV are turned on.

The NYT had a story today about the loss of health care as people lose
jobs. In the other industrialized countries in this world, losing a
job doesn't mean you lose your health care. It shouldn't here either.
You've mentioned that you need to take a number of drugs. What would
happen to you if you lost funding for your drugs?
