James, if gene did as I did, he didn't fall for a dealer ploy. According to
the dealer, my offer was more than $3000 under 'cost'. That is why they
wouldn't even deal from the salesmen or salesmanagers, at first. I found out
the true 'cost', from Consumer Reports on my exact car with VIN number.

That is the reason I know they made $150 profit. I knew before I walked in
the dealership. I 'know what the delears (or paper investor, if you please)
had to ultimately pay, including back-end reversal from maufacture (which, in
Honda, is very little, American cars it can be much more).

I would imagine that is what Gene did , also. Consumer reports charges for
this service, and it is well worth the money ....bobford
