Re-ripping to MP3 from a burned CD introduces a generational loss, as you are re-encoding from one lossy format to another. Whether this matters to you or not is between you and your ears.

It also wastes a perfectly good CD. As a consumer, I avoid spending money with companies that treat me like a criminal. ITunes is a bad deal on several different fronts.
