I just tried 640x400x16 again, and it doesn't work at _all_. With
three xterms in xinitrc, I get one (apparently) with a thick
white border all the way around, no title bar, and commandline
cursor that's a thin outline I can barely see, and the Meta key
is rendered useless. Can't switch between xterms. I created a
small one and it won't switch between that and the first one
either.

Do Alt-Tab twice, and you get a screen filled with command names,
because you have actually just hit Tab twice.

Here's what happens when I do 320x200x16:

The xterm and font get really big. The title bar gets about twice as wide.
All the characters are so large you can see the dots that make them up.

I can make it fit the screen by changing the geometry, but it isn't
usable with that huge font.

The font is set in ~/.Xdefaults at: rxvt*font: 6X9

I'd really like 16 bit, so if there is anyway to make this work, it
would be great.
