We tried one Mac mouse (PS2?) and one Microsoft wheel mouse (IMPS2).

OK.

How do you plan to allow us to enter vendor/product id for mass storage
devices that are out of the normal range, by editing the disk after
booting to learn the ids?

I am making a little script to modify the usb-storage unusual device list.
It is crude, but it appears to work and I can always add a better method
later on.

I thought you needed to recompile the usb-storage.o module every time to add a device. Is this script something to use after compilation?
