Er .... we are talking about Arachne for DOS aren't we ?
The Linux version of Arachne hasn't been worked on for a couple of years, although
there is rumoured to be a project going along in hiding/secret/"behind the
scenes" to set her up for a Linux version.
I am looking forward to that. :)

Wonder why.

I should have said 'I wonder why the linux version of Arachne has not been worked on for a couple of years'. Only problems with it are the lack of SSL and javascript. I would vote to leave out all the guis and icons and put in more function.

Judging by the problems in converting even a 4K DOS assembly language program to linux, I am starting to understand why Arachne is still DOS-only.

Because Arachne is so very configurable, has www, ftp and email in the one
application, and probably because I have used her for so long that she is
probably the most familar application I have, after my word processor. And
quick !

Regards,
Ron
