And also irq=12?

No, the irq is probaby not needed. If the io address
is right, the kernel should be able to detect the irq.

insmod scsi_mod, sr_mod, sg and then
insmod aha152x io=0x340 invalid parameter io
insmod aha152x Device or resource busy
cat /proc/scsi/scsi Attached devices: none

(I think in the case of my other ISA scsi card for the HP it tells me it found the card, tho the scanner is not found by scanimage.)

The card is acting like it is not there. Should I recycle it?
I have tried similarly with zipslack.s instead of the scsi modules.
And with the proper DOS module in config.sys (won't install).

I checked and IRQ 11 and IO 340 are free on that computer.

Linux cfdisk does not appear to check for bad sectors.
How would we do this in linux before mke2fs?

Execute badblocks (it comes with BL2 and BL3) or
simply use the -c parameter for mke2fs

-c (like format) is BEFORE you put the filesystem on, and badblocks (like scandisk) is AFTER you have files on there?

Does the former block out the bad sectors and the latter just inform you that they exist?

Cheers,
Steven
