I understand that Windows users might expect point-and-click
in their Windows environment, but surely BasicLinux users
will realize they are only going to get a basic CLI client.
After all, in the default BL3 GUI they don't get a fancy
file manager. Why should they expect a fancy manager for
their Windows connection?

Yes, that sounds like a very useful article. Do you think
it would be appropriate to add the article to the manpage
in the smbclient package?
