It is a compile-time option. In the future, I may compile
a special 2.2.16 kernel so that I can do a two-floppy version
of BL3 to run in a ramdisk (but that will only run on systems
with 16mb RAM or more, so it's not a high priority).

Either of those would be OK, but the best fit is Slackware 4.0
(libc5 with 2.2 kernel). Slack4 also has a more up-to-date
compiler.

For the moment. Once uClibc is stable, I may upgrade the
libraries.
