Chris,

I have been thinking about you and all that dying ponderosa I saw
up around Lake Arrowhead a couple of years ago. I hope the fires
stay down in the "lowlands", and that the fire area gets favorable
break in the weather.

My area was looking at an extreme fire season until about 10 days
ago, when we started to get a lot of rain, including very unusual
rain at night. And hail, mostly between pea and quarter diameter,
not quite big enough to destroy property apart from truck garden
and orchard crops.
