So, the NY Post is suddenly a respected source of solid journalism? I think most readers know them more for their "page six" celebrity spreads than for their op/ed pages.

I also think it's a stretch to believe that all of those quoted in these stores were member of one small group. Besides, there's evidence to the contrary:

quoting from the last link above:

"We ask both parties to use constraint. Debate the issues, including those related to the deaths of our loved ones. This we want. But do not punish us in the process nor lay false claim to our allegiance or that of our loved ones. What was attacked on September 11th is too large-scale, too precious to suffer at the hands of partisan political struggle in this country. After all, that is what happened on the world stage that awful day. Please, do not repeat it here in the coming months by gratuitous use of the images and symbols associated with the deaths of our loved ones."

And a lot of other citizens seem to agree.

And the issue goes much deeper than just the images in these adverts.

Firefighters are seeing their images used, without their permission and as portrayed by non-firefighter actors, while at the same time taking on additional rsponsibility as first responders and seeing their budgets cut. And the victim's families have had to fight for every scrap of cooperation with the 9/11 commission, which is now so delayed that their report will not be issued before this fall's campaign.
