Yeah, that's the part that gets me. Simply legislating that everyone has to have health insurance isn't the answer. I've signed up for Medicaid to avoid being forced into spending money I don't have on something I don't want. Medicaid has already started nagging me to get this check-up or that screening, but they are easily ignored.

It actually DOES feel good to know that I can be mangled in a farm accident and go to the hospital without losing everything I own. Other than setting broken bones and stiching up cuts, I have little faith in Western medicine, and my health care is generally through alternatives that aren't covered by insurance.
