I'm looking out my window at my weed covered sandy desert land.... and smiling and thinking "what pasture?" I will try to find out from the "earthship" guy if his pigs, when he had them, ate the typical desert weeds. Although I can see he kept them in a rather small penned area.

Even if they don't eat them, they will uproot them and you will nicely
tilled soil.

Oh,,,,,,,,,,, I've seen some people post they can 1000s of jars of food a year. For how many people is that? And is that 1000 jars eaten every year, or is there a rotatation going on where food grown one year is to cover 2 years of eating or what....

For the latter question, both.
With respect to the former question, if 1000 seems like a lot, count the
cans and packages in your pantry and in your freezer. Estimate your
yearly use to put it in perspective.

I asked him where he got the tires. A local tire store, paid him to accept delivery of them. He received 600 tires and they paid him $300 (half the going rate at the time). LOL.

I told you there were places that would pay you...
