I hope it remains that way for you , Lynn. But if any of the really
hysterical 'doom and gloom' folk who claim things will soon be so different
as to be unrecognizable, are right; it almost certainly will affect you,
since you do depend on income that is beyond the borders of your farm.

Now, they could very well be wrong. I don't listen to phrophets, ilisten to
educated rational men who know of the subject of which they write. Even the
most 'gloomy' of these (Peter Schiff, or Nouriel Roubini as examples) think
we will come back strong. Now Rouibini thinks it will all be over and back
to normal within a couple of years at the most. Schiff believe that what the
government is doing now could postpone the ineveitable and cause the malaise
to drag on for years.

None, who are reasonable think that we will be going through anything akin to
the French Revolution of even the disintegration of the USSR (not to say that
a re-enactment of one or the other would 'necessarily be a bad thing); but
there are many who believe we could have terrible political consequences to
the economic recovery -- a government that represses and oppresses even more
than now, which is already bad enough.

Things could go one of many different ways, and only charlatans and blowhards
pretend to know which way for sure. With such knowledge, now, even a working
man could become rich, soon.

The system no longer works for you , so you opt out as much as possible.
And, believe me, I try to learn from you just how best to do that, gradually,
and in smart ways, within the confines of my own life. But, even you can't
opt out completely. You have responsibilities of which the 'system' has
knowledge and 'some' control. The same is with me.

You and I agree on much. But, I won't care that my neighbor used too much
debt to buy too big a boat, until after, the flying monkey bankers and
politicians are held accountable for their economic crimes.
