Kiwi is also on my list of plants to acquire!

Be sure you get kiwi in where you want it, and if it is like our native kiwi here (ours is small-fruit, about the size of a very large grape, not fuzzy, but near same flavor), it will need a telephone pole or the equivalent to keep it upright. Very much worthwhile, though, IMO.

Had kiwi vines at the other house...wonderful things...grew on an overhead lattice(supported by 6x6 posts) and provided deck shade. We moved up here before I ever saw fruit though. I would love to have them again. So, they don't transplant well..good to know. I wonder how deer resistant the magnolia vine is..I've heard that kiwi is pretty resistant if you can protect the shoot tip until it gets out of reach. Whether or not it is deer food decides where I put it.

The true significance of Sacajawea's involvement in the Lewis & Clark
expedition is that it was the first documented trip in history where men
asked a woman for directions and followed them, allowing them to arrive
at their destination.
