Bev, I think you are not understanding just how rural I want to be. I used
Zanoni as an example becuase it is quite a drive to gainsville, which is very
small itself.

I was raised outside of a small town in the rural South. My mother had a
cousin who lived in town. She might have spoken to her twice in fifty years,
other than at funerals. Rural people can be clichesque.

How large is the town near you?. When you first moved there did you know
pwoplw already? Like if you or Ron had family there, that makes a difference.

I want to live in the real "woods". I think my wife could handle it and only
go into town once a week, if she made a few friends to visit occasionally.

I'm not knocking rural lifestyle. I 'want'
a rural lifestyle. I'm just trying to figure out, as a couple, how we would
fit in , make it work, and have pleasant lives as we become older......bobford
