Grown up? Sure they have. Now they use sneakier methods but just as
deadly. They didn't get people to ride out and kill off indigenous
populations. Nope, they had them rounded up and left to the churches
themselves to kill off in one way or another. Convert or we beat you,
starve you or leave you to lie in a puddle of blood and die. I mean, after
all "you're whining because you're a heathen and haven't accepted Christ."
A 12 year old child couldn't possibly be in pain from appendicitis or post
surgery! It was the devil in him.

And this view differs from other monotheistic religions how?

My personal beliefs include the premise that we are responsible for
our
own sins, and not for those who precede us. Blame me for mistakes I
make, but don't hold me reponsible for those of my ancestors. Also,
regarding Christianity, I think it has "grown up" a bit, in the last
century or so.
