O.K., here's my thinking on this. I can believe, against all evidence to the contrary (worked at a rehab center and saw a whole bunch of dry alcholics and can recognize one about a mile away, so had no problem recognizing the one in the White House) that maybe some people *think* they "hear" god talking to them.

Now, let's follow my line of thinking. IF your god is the god that people claim he is, and IF he is soooooo far removed from the god of the terrorists and radical fundamentalists Muslims, then WHY would he be talking to Bush and telling him to start a war and KILL 100s of thousands of women, children and the elderly?

And please don't tell me it's about choice. If this was another one of those tests where he tells the guy to kill his son to prove his love, then, theoretically speaking, and following the usual steps that were taken in a certain book, he'd have stopped him just in the nick of time.

I find it a little presumptive, to decide that of course, it couldn't
possibly be "God" speaking, that it must instead be a "hallucination".
I find it interesting that anyone puts a limit on God.

Of course, you apparantly don't believe in "God", so limiting Him isn't
an issue for you, is it?

Now, please don't take this to mean that I agree that God talked to
Bush. Just saying that I wouldn't presume to say he didn't. I don't
know. He appeared to speak through a burning Bush, once, so
anything's possible.

Of course, if you don't believe in God, you probably don't believe that
little story, either...
