The panel will include folks from Reverbnation, Merge Records,
knowthemusicbiz.com and others who operate in this realm.
It'll take place on Wednesday, April 1st.

I really hope they address Ross' point that Facebook (and the other similar sites) are "walled gardens," Glenn. Facebook folks tend to forget that Facebook =/= the Web, and there are an awful lot of good reasons not to join corporate, profit-driven social networking sites - not subjecting yourself to someone else's content restrictions and arbitrary take-down policies, for just the most obvious.

Using Facebook, MyAss and all the rest are necessary adjuncts to an independent Web presence, sure, but the minute bands start relying *solely* on sites run by corporate money-grubbers for *all* of their online marketing needs is the minute they drop completely off my online radar.

todd you can't get Facebook content through any general search engine what is hard to understand about that morman
