If you're a Windows user & you have a current version of Winamp, you can play an ogg vorbis file just the same as you can play an mp3 file. It's a better, smaller, open-source lossy compression scheme.

If you're a Linux user, you're already all set, unless you haven't updated anything audio-wise in like 4 years.

If you're a Mac user, you'll need the Xiph quicktime framework, which you can download here:

Copyright law would prevent me from giving you permission to burn any radio show to CD and distribute it, even if you were giving it away, but once it goes out over the air, there's nothing (other than copyright law) to keep you from doing whatever you want.

(technically the DMCA probably prohibits me from redistributing my show online, even as a limited-time-period podcast, without paying additional royalties, but I'm going to plead ignorance up til the last possible second on that one)

To do the cutting your best bet is to install Audacity ;-)

i'm not familiar with an ogg file honestly, but is it possible to chop
that in half and burn it straight to cd?
or i'm sure there're downloadable converters. in my free time, if you
wanted ross, i could put your show to cd. that way people that weren't
around on sunday night/people who are not familiar with it yet (ie high
school kids) could still get a chance to check it out.
we all spent nights as kids driving around aimlessly, who doesn't have
a CD player in their car these days...
or, we could pick a show every month and just have that as the monthly
recorded radio show. is that possible? or not worth it?
anyway, i guess email me about it if you want to discuss...
