Or the delilinux links2 with ssl support and X support.
(It does not have ssl support.)

I did not installed links2 because I read in your site it is not sure it has
ssl support and because I have only 12 Mb RAM.

The one I compiled does have ssl support. You can use it in text mode.

First make a shorter symlink in /usr/local/bin.
ln -s links2-1pre33-svgalib-ssl links2

Then type links2

I don't know if there is some way to use it in text mode without the dependencies, if you don't need them. If you like I will recompile it without graphics, or zlib, or libbz2, but for glibc 2.2.5 since that is what I am set up for.

If you don't look at huge images in graphics mode it should work fine with 12MB RAM and a 24MB swap partition or file.

I downloaded lynx from your site and it works with ssl.
I wanted to have links (0.98 or any other version with ssl) because it is
fast and easy to use for me.

The version of links 0.98 I installed needs openssl (before installation) as
stated on links site which I did not read carefully.

Does it need dynamic openssl libraries? What does ldd tell you?

http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/openssl-solibs-0.97-i386-1-SW81.tgz

contains the dynamic libraries for openssl from Slackware 8.1
(which should work if you added glibc from SW8.1 or 9.0).
openssl version 0.97 is required for security.

Thanks again.
