Did not mean a slight to Paul but you get so used to hearing about
the welfare state and where taxes are going from the neocons that I wonder
about the meaning of this term.
You don't have to go far to find sentiment for abolishing SS and Medicare,
Bush tried it.

I don't equate this so called gift economy with the permaculture third ethic,
however.
I think there are many creative opportunities for giving and sharing without
implication
that there is anything mandatory about it with regards to this being part of
that body
of permaculture principles that is taught and practiced.
