Title: Re: [permaculture] Hierarchies and certification..

Kirby talking about Larry:
I would like to be able to give him an honorary / lifetime achievement certification so that he can teach and promote permaculture at his site which is even more amazing than ours because of his small animal systems and solar energy collection.  I spoke to him yesterday and he hasn't been to the grocery store in over four weeks!

Bill Mollison said repeatedly to our class that he intended the institute to award diplomas of permaculture design to those who worked on the land.

There is also precedent for people (some of the best Pc teachers in N. Am.) to, as was suggested, to "take" their pdc as an assistant instructor. So some have been paid to get a certificate.

So no need to make it honorary. You just need to be a hierarchy.
