Idaho, 55 miles North of Boise. Bees were down because of cold weather I
think. But they were around. I saw some honeybees working. Something sure
got the trees pollinated thoroughly. I also see the honey bees drowned in
the water buckets for the goats so I am sure they are honey bees.

Very few bees in my yard in southeastern MN. Not only are honeybees, but
I've seen very few bumblebees or wasps either. Makes me worry.

I finally saw a couple of honeybees in town on some ornamental crab
apples. I haven't seen even one on our fruit trees at home, but finally
did see a single bumble bee and a few smaller bees on apple blossoms. I
sure hope that there are more of them out there that I didn't see, as
everything seems to be covered with blooms. Last year it was almost
mid-June before I saw any honeybees at home.

Jim, in Menomonie, WI, zone 4 in western Wisconsin.
