To be hyper precise, 2209 is ASTM F2209-03 Standard Guide for Training
of Level I Land Search Team Member. The -03 indicates revision in 2003.
It is 7 pages long and costs US$38 on the ASTM website. You can see a
part of it, and order it, here: http://www.astm.org/Standards/F2209.htm

ASTM F2209-03 currently is being revised, so there is a draft document
called a workitem. If you are interested, you can request a copy of the
workitem from the committee staff manager, and submit comments on it.
Anyone can do that, ASTM member or not. Only ASTM members get to vote
yes or no, but you can share concerns with an ASTM member and that may
influence the ASTM member's vote.

>From http://www.astm.org/DATABASE.CART/WORKITEMS/WK24944.htm, here is
the rationale for revising ASTM F2209-03:

1. Editorial changes

2. Bring the standard into line with some newer F32 standards
and changes in SAR.

3. The NIMS was created resulting in SAR resource typing and
credentialing. F2209 is being used as the baseline by the FEMA
SAR working group for credentialing. The working group has
requested some changes.

Hope this helps,
