This applies in any profession where recertification is used. Back to
basics may seem boring but you can use it as a training aid for newer
members. Have the old hands teach them how the book says to do it so they
can pass the test as well as demonstrate any improvements in practical
techniques learned over the years, as long as they do not contradict the
book.

You will have the same problems with 2209-- many of the basic skills are so
basic you will not understand why they are included. But then remember
there are 3 ways to do everything-- the right way, your way, and the Army
way.

Definition of a certified searcher: he found his way to the testing station
one day.
