I think some are on denial about wildlife. And as much as I like Walt
Disney, there is a down side with a pollyanna type view. Sort of like the
disbelief that wolves, coyotes, etc. kill a lot of livestock and pets ...
and they do kill a lot.

Although I am the one in the family with biology degree, I generally call in
the family expert when it comes to wildlife identification. It goes like
this, "Judy, I see another bird out there." Answer: "Oh, yes, sure enough
... another Robin." :)
