Intermittent lock up is a classic RAM issue in all platforms. It
is the first thing to check when this happens. Multiple types
and sizes of RAM are not the best practice in any system. RAM is
cheap.
If that doesn't fix it, it could be a motherboard, but that is
unlikely. You should check the fit of any DIMMs on the board
if there are any. Good luck.
