Wow. A lot of great suggestions. Isn't talking about music so much more relaxing and enjoyable than arguing about politics and religion? Personally, I like to listen to music while arguing. :)

Anyway, without a doubt, beyond any ability to argue, as if divined by some big stick in the sky, the greatest musical release of all time (including the future) is the 2002 release by Cody ChesnuTT -- "The Headphone Masterpiece" Volumes I & II. I was just recently turned onto this record and I can't believe I've wasted the past 2 years listening to anything else.

Be forewarned, this is in NO way children's music. Do not expect political correctness or radio tripe. This is the real dilly, yo. And there are 2 copies at both CD Alley (Franklin St.) and Best Buy (New Hope Commons).

I am addicted to iTunes. And to CDBaby.com. Therefore, I have been buying a lot of music lately. As always, I love to get recommendations. Got any? This is a wonderfully diverse crowd here on our little list and it's a given that topics that are off topic are fine, so I'm casting my Quest For Bands I Don't Know About Yet line here (and elsewhere, but that's not the point).

As a point of reference, I am big in to The Shins, Outkast, Kelis, Electralane, Liz Phair (before she got sucky), The Carpenters, French Kicks, and Pinback these days. And I'm trying to get excited about Death Cab For Cutie, but that's gonna take a few more listens. Not that I eschew all other genres, these are just what I'm big on at the moment.

Perhaps an INW soundtrack could come of this. It would probably have to be about a dozen CDs long, but still...

Write me offlist if you want.

Beth
