Do recent or current versions of the high-end (read: expensive, not
necessarily better, just more costly) tools skillfully handle cross-browser
and cross-platform issues? Hell, do any low-end ones do it?
I admit; I'm lazy. I'm sick of pulling my hair out trying to figure out or
learn/remember all the little hacks. Why the hell can't the browser
companies just agree on a standard? I don't have to buy special Sony cds to
play in my Sony player, and if I'm lucky they'll also play in the Kenwood at
my friend's house. Why the hell does 18pt Geneva appear huge on my
workstation, but my system at home displays it just slightly larger than I'd
like; shouldn't 18pt Geneva _BE_ 18pt Geneva? (Note: I'm not blind; I just
like to sit waaaay back from my monitor and have its resolution as high as
possible)
...sorry ... just having the futile wish that technology and economics didn't
have anything to do with each other.
