In publishing, I've always used the "poor man's copyright:" send a cd,
printout, (diskettes are susceptable to magnetic fields, and probably not
the best medium) stone tablets, whatever, certified mail to
yourself. Don't open it. The Post Office (formerly a govt. agency, still
packing a lot of punch in the legitimacy dept.) will put a date and time
stamp on it, thus giving a date of creation.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
