Plus, under the Federal mandate, NC set up a real bunch of hoops to come up
with child support. The judge is playing with it by doing the sometimes
with the mother, sometimes with the father inorder to not award her the
amount of child support he should be awarding her as primary custodian.

I don't know of any state that would award enough child support for the primary custodian to be totally supported (i.e. not have to work)..How many people could run two households on one income?

I don't see what right the judge has to tell her that she can't homeschool, though, especially if the children are doing well. I've known single parents who worked full time and homeschooled (but that can't be easy, and their kids were old enough to be home alone all day).
