Cathy, I'll butt in before lynn, and based on what she wrote before recommend: moving back, getting '50' $10 calves in the spring; give them some cheap hay and grass and butcher them in the fall. Then invite people over all winter for bbg beef. You will make lots & lots of friends :-).....bobford

Bob; first you'd need to round up $300-400,000 to buy a place to graze them all summer, and a fence to keep them in. Grazing that many cows takes a lot of land.

It's not unusual, once you get in the right circles here, to get invited to a deer or pig roast. Lots of food, lots of beer, meet new people. The people I knew who did that got divorced, so no more deer roasts.
